PRP, or platelet-rich plasma therapy, is a medical treatment that boosts healing, regeneration, and growth. It is a recognised treatment for hair loss.
PRP is a , involving drawing a small amount of blood, processing it in centrifuge to undergo a separation process, then injecting it into the affected area.
The separation process isolates a sample of the blood with a high concentration of platelets, growth factors and white blood cells – the platelet-rich plasma.
This plasma is administered to the scalp through microneedling, using ultra fine to make tiny punctures in the skin. This treatment increases blood supply to the hair follicles, which promotes hair growth and thickness.
